A photo of an African lion roaming the Georgia countryside has captivated the public for more than a week.
The photo was posted to Instagram and Instagram user Diana Fennell’s account on Tuesday.
The lion, known locally as “Little Tiger,” was photographed by photographer Diana Fennaell while she was hiking with her husband, who had been visiting the area, according to Instagram user Diana Fennel.
Fennell told The Associated Press that her husband said he saw the lion in a park in Atlanta’s northwest, about a mile and a half from their house.
“I’m so grateful for my husband and my husband’s wife that he didn’t see him in the photo,” she said.
“This is the first thing that I thought about.
I don’t know if it’s because I was walking through the woods or not, but I thought it was probably something he would see.
She said she was on her way to a local park when the lion approached and began to stalk her husband.
He was surprised to see the lion, but when he saw it in the distance, he didnt notice it at first.
It was the second lion to be spotted in the park since the beginning of May, Fennels husband, David Fennells, told the AP.
But the first lion photo has garnered more than 20,000 retweets and likes.
Dana Fennella says she was so overwhelmed that she posted the photo on Instagram.
More: The first photo is amazing.
I just got back from a hike with my husband.
I thought I’d never see it.
